Credit Cards That Transfer to Emirates Skywards
Bilt Rewards
Bilt Rewards is the only major U.S. credit card program that transfers to Emirates Skywards at a 1:1 ratio. This makes Bilt the single most efficient pathway for U.S. cardholders to build a Skywards balance with credit card points. Bilt is especially valuable for renters, as it remains the only rewards program that allows members to earn points on rent payments with no transaction fees — turning an expense that earns nothing in most ecosystems into a direct pathway to Emirates premium cabins.
Eligible Bilt Cards (1:1 Transfers)
- Bilt Mastercard® (original Wells Fargo-issued card, available to existing cardholders through February 6, 2026)
- New Bilt credit cards issued by Cardless (launched February 7, 2026)

American Express Membership Rewards
American Express Membership Rewards transfers to Emirates Skywards at a 5:4 ratio. Despite the less-than-1:1 conversion, Membership Rewards remains a workable pathway to Skywards because of the sheer scale of points earnable through Amex's card portfolio and welcome bonuses. Note that Emirates is one of the few transfer partners where Amex has rarely run transfer bonuses, so most cardholders should plan around the standard 5:4 ratio rather than waiting for a promotion.
Eligible Amex Cards
- American Express Platinum Card®
- American Express® Gold Card
- American Express® Green Card
- The Blue Business® Plus Credit Card from American Express
- American Express® Business Gold Card
- The Business Platinum Card® from American Express

Citi ThankYou Rewards
Citi ThankYou Rewards transfers to Emirates Skywards at a ratio that depends on which Citi card earned the points. Cardholders of premium products like the Citi Strata Premier and Citi Strata Elite get the 5:4 ratio, while points earned on no-annual-fee cards like the Citi Double Cash and Citi Rewards+ transfer at the much weaker 25:14 ratio. If you hold both a premium and a no-annual-fee Citi card, pool your points to the premium card before transferring to lock in the better ratio.
Eligible Citi Cards (5:4 Transfers)
- Citi Strata Premier™ Card
- Citi Strata Elite™ Card
- Citi Prestige® Card (legacy, no longer open to new applicants)

Capital One Miles
Capital One Miles transfer to Emirates Skywards at a 4:3 ratio — the lowest conversion among current Emirates transfer partners. Despite the weaker ratio, the program's strong everyday earning rates and frequent welcome bonuses still make it a viable option for building a Skywards balance, particularly for cardholders who don't have access to Bilt. Capital One miles also transfer 1:1 to Qantas Frequent Flyer, which is an alternative path to Emirates redemptions worth keeping in mind (see strategic context below).
Eligible Capital One Cards
- Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card
- Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card
- Capital One Spark Miles for Business

Secondary Transfer Options (Limited Use)
Marriott Bonvoy
(with a 5,000-mile bonus for every 60,000 Bonvoy points transferred, making the effective ratio approximately 2.4:1 — meaning 60,000 Bonvoy points yields 25,000 Skywards miles)
Marriott and Emirates also share a deeper reciprocal relationship called Your World Rewards, which allows linked-account members to earn points in both programs simultaneously on eligible flights and stays, plus reciprocal elite perks across both brands. Marriott Bonvoy is the only major hotel program that converts to Skywards.

- Topping up miles when just short of an award
- Completing a redemption rather than as a primary earning strategy
Programs That Do NOT Transfer to Emirates Skywards
Several major rewards programs do not partner with Emirates Skywards:
- Chase Ultimate Rewards
- Wells Fargo Rewards
- Hilton Honors
- World of Hyatt
- IHG One Rewards
If you are researching which cards transfer to Emirates Skywards, Bilt Rewards is the only major flexible points option with a direct 1:1 transfer path. Amex Membership Rewards, Citi ThankYou Points, and Capital One Miles all transfer at less-than-1:1 ratios. Chase Ultimate Rewards cardholders can no longer transfer points to Emirates in any form, but they can convert Chase points to Marriott Bonvoy at 1:1 and then to Skywards at 3:1, an indirect but poor pathway only worth considering for a small top-up.
Strategic Context (Why This Matters)
- Emirates Skywards remains one of the most strategically important programs for U.S. points collectors — not because of the breadth of its transfer partners, but because of what those Skywards miles unlock.
- Three features make Skywards uniquely valuable:
- First, Bilt's 1:1 ratio. In a market where most airline programs accept 1:1 transfers from multiple flexible currencies, Bilt is the lone 1:1 path into Skywards — but for renters, this is uniquely powerful, transforming monthly rent into Emirates First Class miles.
- Second, Emirates First Class itself. The A380's private suites, in-flight shower spa, onboard bar and lounge, and the airline's caviar-and-Dom-Pérignon service create an experience that is difficult to replicate on any other carrier — and Skywards is the most direct path into that cabin.
- Third, Emirates' alliance independence. Emirates is not a member of any of the three major airline alliances. Instead, it maintains individual partnerships with a curated set of carriers, including Japan Airlines, Korean Air, Qantas, Air Canada, United, Copa, and others, meaning Skywards miles unlock award space on a network you cannot reach through Star Alliance, SkyTeam, or oneworld programs.
